What is Material Citizenship for Dementia Care?

Material Citizenship focuses on everyday functional objects, such as a hairdryer, vacuum cleaner or certain coffee cup, in supporting a person to continue routines that help maintain their identity when living in a care home. It helps staff balance psychological well being and physical risk, supporting people to live their lives their way.
