About Me

My name is Dr Kellyn Lee.  I am a Chartered Psychologist and Academic. I have over 10 years experience of conducting research in ageing and dementia, my specialist area is dementia care.

I am the founder of WISER Health and Social Care and creator of Material Citizenship - a new approach to dementia care.  I developed Material Citizenship as I want care homes to be places in which people flourish.  Adopting Material Citizenship results in care staff feeling more confident and residents enjoying 

taking part in everyday activities that support their identity.
